Between home and the world a place to belong.
Sociologist Ray Oldenburg wrote about the vital importance of "third places" spaces that are neither home nor work, where people gather, belong, and find each other. For many people navigating difficulty and healing, those spaces are hard to find.
Root and River Collective, LLC aspires to be that kind of space: a place grounded not just in individual healing, but in the wider project of building community. A place where showing up in whatever form that takes is enough.
We believe that community is not incidental to the work of healing. It is part of the work itself.
